I’m on a Mission

“I’m on a mission to bring the benefits of a regular meditation practice (enhanced mental clarity and brain plasticity, reducing negative emotions, and a more contented outlook on life despite its challenges) to the 50+ crowd.

Why? Because when I discovered meditation in mid-life (I’m now 64), it was like grasping a lifesaver ring in the middle of a raging river current. Practicing meditation dramatically shifted my overall outlook on life toward the positive.”

When I discovered meditation, it felt as if I’d been thrown a lifesaver ring; I was a single custodial parent to a then 6-year-old boy (now 26). Having survived a tumultuous 15-year marriage to his mom, I was stressed out and suffering from the post-separation/divorced life fallout, including the overwhelming guilt I carried regarding not being home more with my young son more often because I was working so much to support us. It definitely felt like I was on a hamster wheel.
