In the Northern Hemisphere, we’re shifting from Autumn to Winter as the temperatures cool and the precipitation from cold fronts sweeps across the landscape.

It’s peak HYGGE season!

HYGGE (pronounced hoog’-uh) is a Danish term that communicates feelings of warmth and coziness, often in the company of dear ones.

From the VisitDenmark.com website:

“In essence, hygge means creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people. The warm glow of candlelight is hygge.🕯️ Cozying up with a loved one for a movie – that's hygge, too.

Like you, perhaps, I came across the Danish term many years ago and loved the visual feel that HYGGE suggests. Without making it a conscious endeavor, I began curating HYGGE into my ZENish lifestyle.
